Our society has less interaction with people due to videos and technology. It leads us to isolation/very little interaction with “real people”. This is true of most age groups.

We are addicted to technology which has resulted in relational skills dwindling, this has scientific backup.

 

Depression is not a “one size fits all” – therefore there is no 12 step formula or quick fix for it. It can be caused by genetic, traumatic experiences, chemical imbalances, stress, and external circumstances in a person’s life. There may be other causes too.

 

No cheerleaders or shout-outs are needed. What is required is someone who has lived through the same thing you are living through and can say, “I’m here to tell you, you are not alone in this.”

• Confessing depression and bringing Jesus into the dark gives a glimmer of light that comes crashing into the blackout of depression.

 

When you bring your depression to Jesus, he will lead you to victory.

 

Psalm 118:17 – I will not die but live and tell what the Lord did for me.

Tell your story when Jesus brings you out of your depression. Declare what He has done for you. It gives others hope and your story will glorify God.

 

Take your pain to Jesus and you will find that there is purpose in your pain.
